How to get the most out of AI in the BRAVOZONE

We’ve all stared at a blank screen, wondering how to turn a mountain of source material into a concise training module or a set of quiz questions. AI has emerged as the ultimate cure for "blank page syndrome," but it isn't a "set it and forget it" solution. To get results that meet professional standards, you need the right tools and a bit of oversight. Discover how BRAVO Assist helps you harness the power of AI by using your specific URLs and documents to jumpstart your content creation process without sacrificing accuracy.

AI is Here to Stay

AI is all around us; in some cases, we are not even aware that we are seeing it. When it comes to AI content creation, perhaps the best summary of its current state comes from Niloy Ray, co-lead of the AI practice at Littler Mendelson, via CNN Business: “Generative AI is the best thing in the world to get you from zero to ‘not bad’ in 60 seconds... But ‘not bad’ is rarely the standard to which you’re working.”

Those who have learned to use AI effectively realize that AI is not the end-all. Instead, it serves as a powerful starting point or framework for their content, which will need to be reviewed and modified to make it work.

"Garbage In, Garbage Out." Getting AI to work for you

If you ask AI for a general topic like “OSHA Fall Protection,” you can’t always be certain of the source or accuracy of the data. To get the best results, you should provide the AI with a trusted source, such as a specific webpage, internal document, or organization-specific manual.

BRAVO Assist allows you to do exactly that. You can direct AI to search a specific source by providing:

  • A webpage URL

  • Uploaded documents (PDF, Word document, CSV, etc.)

  • Copied and pasted text from a trusted source

The copy-and-paste method is great for drilling down into specific topics, especially when your source material is broad. Generally, AI will use your provided content to draft questions. While the question and the correct answer will stem directly from your source, the AI may occasionally pull "distractors" (incorrect answers) from its broader database. Since writing believable distractors is often the hardest part of question creation, this is a major time-saver for most users.

While AI is a fantastic way to jumpstart your workflow, you should always review its output. Here are a few common things to look for:

  • Contextual Fillers: AI often adds phrases like “According to the text…”, “According to the highlighted…”, or “Based on the provided text…”, before the actual question. These are easy to fix—either reference the source or delete it and keep the question.

  • Answer Length: In my experience, AI sometimes makes the correct answer significantly longer than the distractors, which can make it too obvious. A good rule of thumb is to keep all your answers roughly the same length.

Example: If a generated answer is, “To represent a user's confidence in their response or to create weighted questions,” and it’s much longer than the others, you might simply trim it down to: “To represent a user's confidence in their response”.

AI can add Unique Images

What I have always tried to do in my presentations is to add unique images to help me convey my message. In many cases, I relied on Photoshop to help me. BRAVO Assist is a game-changer here; you can create unique, high-quality images simply by providing a detailed description. The more descriptive you are, the better the result.

For example, I recently entered the prompt: Dog driving forklift. The result was a perfect, unique image that would have taken hours to compose manually in Photoshop.
